APPLIED PSYCHOMOTOR THERAPY TRAINING

Psychomotor Therapy is one of the most powerful methods for identifying, naming, expressing, clearing and healing childhood wounds. These childhood wounds and unmet needs are capable of contaminating our present and interfering with having a satisfying life.

Psychomotor is simply one of the best psychotherapies. It is wonderfully clear at getting to early childhood wounds and unmet developmental needs that are at the base of the problems your clients are bringing to you. It makes therapeutic work incredibly clear in terms of helping to see how the past always contaminates the present. Because it uses information in the body of the client it makes the therapeutic work almost simple in terms of what needs to be done to assist in the healing of these wounds. Its methodology makes obvious the causes and remedies of these wounds that are at the root of negative beliefs, emotions and behaviors.

Psychomotor was developed by Al Pesso and Diane Boyden Pesso who have named the therapy PBSP. Psychomotor uses information in the body to track old hurts and then using symbolic reenactments offers the opportunity to express and really clear the feelings around these early unmetnesses. Then this work continues to follow the body and have role played figures be the perfect ideal antidote to the wound. This process is like four mints in one. It allows for the feelings to be cleared, the need to be met, the belief or map to be changed and the internalization of the capacity to meet the need for ourselves. This is the goal of all therapy and this process is one of the most effective that I have seen.

I have been involved with Psychomotor therapy since the 70's have become a certified Psychomotor therapist and completed the training to be a Psychomotor Trainer in 1996.

Applied Psychomotor Training

Psychomotor is one of the best psychotherapies because it is clear, precise, direct, powerful and effective. The purpose of the upcoming training series is to provide practical and clear education in how to do this very wonderful psychotherapy.

The emphasis of Applied Psychomotor Training is on making the learning of Psychomotor clear and practical and foundational. As such, the early and primary focus will be on the foundation of Psychomotor. The foundation of Psychomotor is on how to work with and use the body in the therapy and what the focus of the therapy should be in term of healing and antidoting old family of origin wounds. The training will also be tailored for the therapist doing Psychomotor on ongoing weekly basis.
